Chip Definitions
Green 1 Putt: use just 1 putt to get the ball in the hole Birdie: score one shot less than par (gross score) Eagle: score two shots less than par (gross score) 3 Pars In A Row: finish 3 holes in a row at par or better (gross score) 2 Birdies In A Row: finish 2 holes in a row at birdie or better (gross score) Chip In: chip in to the hole from off the green Sand Save: achieve a par (gross score) having been in a bunker Nearest Pin: nearest the pin on every hole if on the green in regulation (i.e. in 1 on a par 3, 2 on a par 4 or 3 on a par 5)
Red 3 Putts: from a position on the green take at least 3 putts to finish the hole 7:7 shots on a hole (gross score) 8: 8 or more shots on a hole (gross score) Sand: a shot ends in a bunker Water: a shot ends in a water hazard (this does not incur the Lost Ball chip) Hit A Tree: hit a tree (including branches and leaves) Lost Ball: when you are unable to find your ball, or your ball goes out of bounds. (If it hits a tree out of bounds or ends in water only the Lost Ball chip is allocated). Lost Temper: at the discretion of the other player(s), but remember the game is supposed to be fun!
NB If a player picks up and doesn't complete the hole they should be given the 7 chip on a par 3/4, or the 8 chip on a par 5.
